Reserved Court Times

On certain occasions the courts are reserved (e.g. for matches, coaching, etc.) This includes occasional times when the courts have for a long time been regularly and reliably used and the Committee have been asked if the group can reserve them (e.g. the women’s Wednesday morning group).

If other groups wish to regularly reserve a court (or courts) they should seek the committee’s approval for this. At present there is no great pressure on court booking, and it shouldn’t be a problem, but if we become more busy it could be that a reserved slot that has been agreed might have to be rescinded.

Things do change, particularly as regards matches, and there are always various plans for group training, junior tournaments etc. There is usually a notice on the court fence to say what bookings are currently in force. At the moment they are:

Monday        10am to 12 noon     Women’s group (by invitation)
6pm until dark        Ladies’ team matches (2 courts, summer)

Tuesday        4pm to 7pm            Junior coaching (max 2 courts, summer only)

Wednesday   10.30am to 1pm     BC women’s group (all courts, by invitation)

Afternoons             See "Key Dates" for schedule (summer)

Apart from this, it is a case of first come first serve(d). There is no priority for doubles over singles, age before beauty etc. And of course it is only the Wednesday morning group who use all three hard courts.
